AMALGAM CONTROVERSY

Article published in October of 2013, Dr. J Rodway Mackert, Phd., D.M.D., professor of oral rehabilitation at the College of Dental Medicine, Georgia Regents University, Augusta.

Although white  composite looks better than the metallic amalgam fillings, there are no health or safety reasons to choose white over mercury.

"The World Health Organization and the European Commision have shown that the mercury levels in amalgam fillings are so tiny, you'd need 265 to 312 fillings to reach even slightly toxic levels... The evaporation of mercury from an amalgam filling is a million times lower than from pure mercury.
